NōR is a husband-and-wife, family-owned design and building studio. We take on full custom homes from the ground up, design and dress interiors for homeowners, and stage properties for Airbnb hosts, businesses, realtors, and fellow builders who need a space to show beautifully. Custom home builds are based in Northwestern Wisconsin; design and staging work travels anywhere, with site visits built into every project along the way. Every finish is chosen by hand. Full custom construction from foundation to final finish — architecture, materials, and craftsmanship coordinated under one roof, built in any style to bring your vision to life. Currently building exclusively in Northwestern Wisconsin.

Airbnb Management

Northwestern Wisconsin

We offer a full turnkey Airbnb startup service — design, layout, and setup, billed cost-plus — to get your property guest-ready from day one. From there, we manage the Airbnb directly at negotiable rates, coordinating turnovers and looking after the property like it's our own.

Staging

NW Wisconsin & Central Virginia

Staging for Airbnb hosts, realtors prepping a listing, commercial spaces, and fellow builders who need a property dressed to sell or perform — fast turnarounds without cutting the design corners.

Finish selections, furnishings, and full-space design for homeowners — from a single room to a complete build-out, tailored to how you actually live. We travel to you, with site visits scheduled throughout the project.

Our Story

Home has always meant more to us than four walls.

It's where kids learn to ride bikes down the hallway on rainy days. It's where friends stay longer than they planned. It's where birthdays are celebrated, holidays become traditions, and ordinary Tuesday nights become the memories you'll talk about years from now.

That's why we believe great design isn't about chasing trends. It's about creating spaces that feel like they were always meant to be yours — whether that's the home you're raising a family in, an Airbnb your guests don't want to check out of, or a listing that sells the moment it's shown.

Garrett & Allison Nelson

We're the husband-and-wife team behind NōR. We met at Liberty University, and our faith has shaped everything since — including how we build. Our greatest inspiration comes from the life we're building with our own three kids: a home has to work just as well on a busy Monday morning as it does hosting everyone you love on a Saturday evening. Every decision we make is guided by that balance of beauty, function, and longevity.

We got our start in Lynchburg, Virginia, building high-end custom homes — several north of $2.5 million — before deciding to move our family back to Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, to be closer to home. NōR Design Co. is what we're building next: bringing that same level of craft, and a fresh sense of style, to Northwestern Wisconsin.

On top of the custom homes we've built and designed over the last seven years, Garrett has overseen and managed more than 1,000 units, including Airbnbs, over the last five years. Our experience speaks for itself.

We have a passion for bringing a space to life — a place built for gathering, for entertaining, for family. The Lord has blessed us with an eye for detail, and we treat every project as if it were our own. What we value most is the personal connection with each client: getting to know their story, helping their vision come to life, and watching them enjoy it with the people they love.
